King County Coronavirus Daily Prediction: 5-4

Posted by

I took 1 day off and look what happened. yesterday, King County reported negative-43 cases. That’s not a misprint.

A big chunk of recent positive tests were wiped off the books – by my count over 100 from the past week. Numbers that were in the 100s are now in the 70s and 80s. What are the real number? Who knows.

So, I’m not sure I’m going to keep this up. King County won’t respond to my questions. The lack of accountability is frustrating. Continuing wasting energy on this seems futile. Go Big Government!

Polynomial model is going strong with the downward revision – definitely helped its declining r-squared value. Predicting 34 today. who knows – King County could have another NEGATIVE number. :)

The Logarithmic model is also stronger with the downward revisions and predicts 66 tomorrow.

  1. Don’t stop – this is my only way of keeping a tab on what’s happening in Seattle. And, it helps me look smart in front of my wife when I can talk about R0 and logarithmic models.
